The Joy of Teaching

This past Friday was my half-way mark with my student teaching and this semester. For this first half, I was in a first grade class teaching. I loved it for the most part with a few stressful moments. The good thing is I am still alive and want to be a teacher. The sad thing is that I wont see all those cute little kids grow and learn. There were 30 of them and they all had their own personalilties. They made me cards on Friday, my last day. One little boy cried that I was leaving. I was shocked he liked me so much. They gave me big hugs and told me not to leave. It was an emotional day. Now I'm off to teaching in a fourth grade class.

The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a handmade (or possibly store-bought) gift from me during this year. when and what will be a surprise. there's a small catch though...you have to post this same thing on your own blog and then come back and leave a comment telling me you're in. remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift! (I really want a present from Jana, her presents are awesome!)

Yikes!! The pressure is one now! I have to get something awesome for you! I will, don't worry :)
Those cards are so cute. Logan just made a card for her first grade teacher over the weekend, and took it to her today. She loves doing stuff like that!
Hope you like 4th grade just as much!
Your snowboarding pictures are fun. I gave up on that activity long ago. It was to brutal on me. I just couldn't hang, but you guys look like pros!

Hi, Princess - Your new blog picture is darling. Also, I almost cried myself when I read about the little boy who cried when you left. I can see why he loves you.

So, I'm the third commenter. Or am I really the second, on a technicality? Do I get a present?

Shawn, Umm... I would have to agree. I dont know what I would have done if my name was on a death list... Maybe its the difference of the states we live in. Youre the third person that gets a present this year. YAY!

Congrats Autumn! I had a hard time leaving when I was done with student teaching; I could have stayed there forever! Even with the ups and downs, teaching is such a rewarding experience. Hope you have fun in the fourth grade, that was my favorite in grade school!!
