Experts...

There are some people who are experts at decorating for the Christmas season, while others just don't want to spend the money. This year, my family stepped it up to compete with the other Southerners in the land.

This was our stiff competition and one of our favorites. You may notice the outline of a Volkswagen with lights being pulled by two reindeer. Pretty clever! These folks actually hoisted up a Volkswagen into a tree so even during the day it is pleasing to the eye.

VS.

These are our Christmas decorations. The icicles were hung by Tanner and my dad with care. The front lawn decorations were designed by myself. I drew Snoopy and the yellow bird. My mom and I cut them out of wood with a little handheld saw thingy. We were laughing all the way, and we still have all our fingers. Charlie Brown graced our presence when Tanner drew and painted him for my Anniversary gift (5 years..yeah!).

What do you think?
Tanner and I are in California for this Christmas. We will keep you updated. Have a Merry Christmas and don't be a g...g...g..Grinch!
I painted this for my uncle.

Autumn, you guys are so talented! And related to Jamie.

And I must be related to Annie, because my first thought about the volkswagen in the tree was, "Pleasing to the eye? Uhhh." That's a bit of a contradiction, a mutually exclusive situation, not quite right. If you get my drift. :p Funny!!

Have fun in CA!

Jamie...thanks and yes we are related.

Annie and Nicea...I know what cha mean and sarcasm is hard to express in blogs. :)Its very catching of the eye without a doubt. I still wonder how it stays up there. I am actually more impressed each time I think about it.

I feel dumb that you have been my dear daughter in law for 5 years and I didn't know you had this artistic side. So cute! I LOVE the Charlie Brown Christmas stuff.
