Adventures of the Last 5 Months

Just to forewarn whoever reads our blog. I, Autumn, have a habit of forgetting things. You have to understand there is a lot of "stuff" some useless and some very important info that's just circulating constantly in my head and some of it well.. just gets booted out. For example, with the last blog I started I forgot both our username and password. I thought, prayed and stressed to remember it. Unfortunately I was unsuccessful, but luckily I only made one post. I recreated our Thanksgiving post so you can read it too. I promise to remember everything this time.

Tanner and I really wanted to catch you up on what has happened with us since December. There has been a lot going on but I will edit the boring stuff and get down to the juicy details of our lives.

DECEMBER 2007

First of all, in December my smart, and charming husband got a dual Bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics. He didn't want to walk for graduation because everyone was doing it and he tends not to follow the crowd. So no pictures, sorry.

Tanner and I decorated our own Christmas tree! We were especially excited about this tree because it was tall. We normally get the 4 ft. trees that are only $5, Charlie Brown-style, but this year we went all out.

For Christmas, we shared the holiday with Tanner's side of the family. We traveled down to Orem to be with the Gedick's family (Tanner's aunt and uncle). This was really exciting because for the first time in a long time everyone was together within his immediate family, and even some of his cousins came and joined the fun.

As a family we played games...(some of us were sore losers, no names.)

We took pictures ....

and some of us posed for pictures.

All of us ate and ate. Some ate a little too much.

We laughed and relaxed.

We also sang Christmas songs, while some of us endured the singing of Christmas songs.
And a few of us watched the traditional Christmas movie, Lord of the Rings.

And in the end, we opened our presents and enjoyed being around each other!

The Gedick's family was so sweet to put up with us.
Some of us can be a little uncivilized at times.

JANUARY 2008

Tanner and I went back to California to stay with the family some more. Tanner, Jamie, Duncan, and myself went to the beach and became adventurous.

We played on the big rocks.

While I was at the beach, I wanted to try and soak up some rays.

This is Tanner putting to use all the Karate Kid movies he watched growing up.

FEBRUARY

For a Valentine's Day gift, Tanner and I got away and had a romantic evening in Salt Lake City. We stayed at the Anniversary Inn and had horse and buggy ride around Temple Square. It was refreshing to get away from work and school to be with each other.

MARCH

I participated in a production called Handel's Messiah. The Messiah has many musical numbers about the life of Jesus which is presented through songs. I was an interpreter for three songs. I used ASL to tell different stories of Jesus. It was a very touching performance and a lot of hard work.

This is me and Camilla (I'm on the left). Our song was The People Walked in Darkness. This was practice rehearsal for us and I was nervous.

Okay now I'm not nervous. I'm posing for the camera.

My other song was I Know That my Redeemer Lives. I signed this song with Meghan, one of my best friends. This was both our first time, and we did awesome.

This picture was taken in the dressing room since we spent most of our time there in front of a mirror practicing.

For my last song, I was an angel. I know it's funny to imagine this, but it was very touching. We all dressed in white dresses and proclaimed that Jesus was born.

The girl interpreters the day of the performance. Stunning!

The boy interpreters fingerspelling, Messiah.

I bought the dvd of this performance, and hope to get it soon if you want to watch it with me.

Hooray! I'm so excited that you once again have a blog - now, have you written down your username and password somewhere safe? Maybe you should tell me too, just in case :) I loved reading your first post and monthly recaps, and you have some great pictures! Let's get together next week.

Hello! I found your blog! :) Okay I did the EXACT same thing as you. I did one post and then forgot my username and password so I had to make another blog. Glad to know I'm not the only one in that boat.

Great blog: sweet Christmas photos, right when I needed them (in swelteringly humid June!).

Glad I found you two. (I'm Tanner's cousin Justin.)
