Camp Memories

Here are a few memories of Girl's Camp that I wanted to share. It was from August 5-8 and we went to St. Charles, Idaho. Our overall theme at camp was ER- Eternal Rewards and each ward had a unit of the hospital to base their skits and decorations off of. Our ward, Logan 6th ward, was the Cardiac Unit. I had so much fun and it was an event that I will remember forever.

This is the Paris Tabernacle in Paris, Idaho. We went on a tour. It was gorgeous inside and out.

We went inside and sat where the choir sits. We all sang songs. It was a touching experience.

Here we are outside the Tabernacle.

After the Tabernacle, we got raspberry shakes and decorated our camp site.

Tabatha holding the yummy raspberry shakes.

Skit night was hilarious. The girls put so much effort into the skit. Since we were the Cardiac Unit, our skit was about the heart and love. Here's a little bit about the skit. The girls danced to the song Achy Breaky Heart in pillow cases.

One of our girls had a fake heart attack.

We took her into the hospital, and performed open heart surgery. There was a lot of hate, jealously, and anger in her heart that we took out, but we could not save her.

Then we let her sad friends into the hospital and they each said a good thing about her. Each good thing would make her heart beat and she was brought back to life with love and kindness.Everyone was laughing so hard. It was a funny skit. I have a DVD of it.

Getting ready to heart-attack the other wards tents.

The next day, we went to the Minnetonka Cave.
(Molly, Kayla, Teresa, and Ashley)

Waiting to go inside the cave.

It was damp and dark in the cave. This is where Casper lives (actual name of rock formation).

At the end of the hike, we stood in total darkness for a few minutes. If we were in darkness for 40 minutes then we would have gone blind, yikes.

It was our turn to make dinner for everyone.

Even though we were at camp we needed some relaxation. We spent an afternoon at Bear Lake.

The girls dared me.

Baywatch Babes!

We got Emma started early on Girl's Camp and she loved it.

Back at camp and feeling good. (Me and my counselors)

What !?! We have to leave camp!

They loved camp too. Don't let those faces fool you.

Our last day at camp.

Home Sweet Home. This is what I looked like when I don't shower for 3 days.

Great memories for you! You post makes me wish I had gone to camp, too. Or not. :>) Hooray for youth...and their youthful leaders!

That's "your" post, not "you" post. Yes, I always proofread. (What I meant to say was ALMOST always.)

Looks like a ton of fun. I bet those young women just love you as their President. Also, you look great for not showering for three days.
