You heard it right a college grad gets a job. If you haven't heard she applied for over 35 different teaching positions only to be disappointed with not a single interview. Maybe it was because she lived in a different state, talked a different dialect, or even was just too educated. As time moved on, the odds were definitely against this young graduate. Feeling as if she had failed the hopes of becoming a teacher had come to an end and flipping burgers was bright in her future. Oh but wait, this graduate was not like the rest. She made one more meager attempt to get a job that she could enjoy. Putting the pen to the paper, she filled out the last application, of this year or maybe her life, as a substitute teacher. It was just days ago she interviewed for this position with the Board of Education. Excited and nervous she walked into a room with seven others critiquing every word she said. By the end of this nerve-racking moment for many, she had taught them all "I love you" in sign language and they were all signing it to her as she left the room. Still unable to tell if she had the job, she walked away once again feeling like the biggest college failure. Ninety minutes ago...since this is breaking news... she was contacted to substitute for a Kindergarten class. As the college grad hung up the phone, she felt as though she were a few inches taller because hope was in her future.

Jones Co. is great...I taught there for 3 years. You will love it!!! That is also a great way to get a full time teaching job; they will look for people already in the system who are doing a good job before they hire someone new. GOOD LUCK!!!
