So Georgia is known for its soil. Actually, I wouldn't call it soil its called clay, red Georgia clay. If you could imagine reddish, orange dirt all over someone's yard instead of green grass...you would be picturing my parent's yard. There is absolutely no beauty in it! My mother had the bright idea to make it somewhat beautiful. (Thats what women are for..right?1?) My mom wanted a flower garden.
Well with my expertise by watching a lot of HGTV shows, Tanner's experience with doing an island at our Logan home, and my mom knowing what flowers she loved...we knew what to do. We gathered all our materials and off to work we all went.
This is a small glimpse of what our conversation consisted of...
Tanner- I think we should give it some height.
Autumn- I don't know about that.
Tanner- Trust me I saw it done before.
Autumn- Yeah on HGTV. *smile*
Rosa- Are you doing this right?
Tanner- Watch this. *mounds some dirt*
Rosa- I like it!
Autumn- Wow! That looks great Tanner. That looks like something off of HGTV.
Rosa- Now what should we do?
Autumn- Well HGTV said to get the dirt right and then put the flowers in place.
Rosa- I dont know, it looks like a body is buried there.
Tanner- Well, its good to give your flower garden height in some spots with the flowers that sit close to the ground.
Autumn- Yeah I saw it on HGTV, he's right.
Rosa- Well, I dont give a damn about HGTV.
*We all laugh*
We've recently went into business. Our name is yard ART (Autumn, Rosa, Tanner). I know HGTV will be contacting us soon. My dad calls the flower garden the Oasis.

P.S. I swore, too, 'cuz I couldn't let Rosa be badder than me. :>)
P.S. Again. The Oasis looks awesome! There is beau-ty all
a-round. It doesn't look like any bodies are buried there, but I'm just wonderin'. I haven't heard from Shawn in a few days and last time I saw her, she was with you guys. I'm just sayin'.
WV: coprativ - You guys are really coprativ. Look what you accomplished!
Hey, I commented before I wrote those two P.S.'s above and my comment didn't post. Is it because I said "hell" in it?
I shall give you a not-so-brief recap here so that my above two comments make sense:
My comment said that your post was hilarious, that I've already read it about six times, that I'm still laughing and that you made my day. "Hell, you made my whole week!" Since I commented, I've had Fred read your post, and when Amanda called just now, I read it to her over the phone. Ha! It really is a cute post. We can all just imagine you guys saying those exact words! We miss you!
I wonder if something's wrong with my Blogger account or with my computer. Weird things have been happening, like my sidebar links and profile stuff are all at the bottom of my blog page now. And my blog name that used to be in my bookmarks just disappeared. Is someone trying to get rid of me? Oh man, I might get paranoid in a minute. You guys are through making mounds of dirt, right? And you're in Georgia and I'm here. Whew! It's not you guys who are after me. But wait, Mitch is still here. Oh, me.
Too fun! Maybe I will submit your post to HGTV for you and see what they think? It looks great! So is there no grass cause it can't grow there? It looks like there is grass on the other side of the house?
I love it. I want to play with you guys!
That is so cute! And Rosa's end line is the best! And tell her I am sending her a thank you gift for not burying me in the yard while I was there. I really am sending her a gift--I ordered it but I'm not sure when it will get here. :)
Very funny, and very pretty!! We miss you!
I don't know what is worse- HGTV for the yards or HGTV for fixing things inside the house. Our yard is done but I often try to do things in the house because it saw it on HGTV.
I love it, you guys are hilarious!
This seriously made me laugh out loud!
