That's right folks, the tables have turned. Autumn is off at girls camp and I am left to fend for myself. Luckily for me I have to work full time (never thought I would hear myself say that) and don't have time get as bored as Autumn must have been when I was gone. Truth be told, I'm probably just lazier than she is and find that having very little to do can be very enjoyable. Actually, this is the only night I will be alone without plans. Last night I had to make an emergency trip up to girls camp because Autumn forgot the memory card to the camera. The girls told me she was stressing out about not being able to do a blog entry on girls camp without pictures. Stay tuned, it's bound to be good. Tomorrow night I'm hanging out with another husband who's wife is at camp. We're going to bar-b-que ribs then go watch Batman again. Autumn gets back Friday afternoon and then all will be back to normal in the Glenn home.
Originally, I was trying to scheme up ways to make the chores last until she got back. I rationed out the dishes so that there were just enough to make it until Friday. I have already dipped into our food storage to avoid grocery shopping. I tip toe everywhere so that the carpet looks freshly vacuumed when she gets back. I even sit when I pee to avoid the chance that a drop or two gets on the seat and requires cleaning before Friday. My luck ran out today when I realized I don't have any more white socks. My fashion sense isn't great but I know not to wear dark socks with tennis shoes. Luckily, I had a rare instance of personal revelation and remembered I could wear flip-flops to work. But I also remembered our priesthood lesson on Sunday about provident living, specifically the part about being self-sufficient. In an effort to appease my concience I put in a load of laundry (socks). It was amazingly liberating. I think it may have been the first time I've done an unsolicited load of laundry on my own. It makes me want to try other things. So my one evening with no commitments and no responsibilities may just turn into the most productive evening I've had in a long time. Weird. Well, I gotta go to the grocery store. See ya.
P.S. - I really do miss Autumn.

Tyler has been gone a lot lately too and I am always a work-a-holic when he is gone so I won't get bored and so I don't have time to be lonely! Good idea. Guess it's in the family genes :)
That was hilarious. Especially about the toilet. I also like how I'm not the only male out there in blog land who isn't afraid to post on his wife's blog - way to go Tanner! Miss you guys
Where did you get your wonderful sense of humor, Mr. T?! Loved your post!
Tanner- I came across your blog not to long ago while looking up friends. I hope you both are doing well! Congrats to your dad and his new calling as well.
