Time is up! The big Halloween party was tonight and it was time to show off my sewing skills with my costume. My experience of sewing was interesting and I ended up enjoying it. Here are a few things I learned:
- Put the foot thingy down on the sewing machine before you start sewing
- Seam rippers work better than scissors
- Neighbors are great when they know how to thread the sewing machine
- Remember when sewing that I am a girl and I have hips
- Having a pattern is probably easier than sewing from scratch
Drum roll.......here is my Medusa costume!
How many people do you see?
Overall I had a fun time at the party. I would make my costume again if I had a choice. It was worth it. My brother was impressed and Tanner said my hair and make-up looked really nice. This is the second year in a row at Halloween that Tanner said my make-up looks really nice. Humm....interesting.

I'm sure your costume is great, Autumn. Unfortunately I couldn't look for fear of turning into stone...
Remember the clothes we tried to make for our dolls when we were little. We had to cut the clothes off the dolls.
You did a great job on your costume. It's very cute and the snakes were a nice touch.
Nice Job! I best you had a blast! Looks like you became quite the the little sewer. And all your lessons learned about sewing I loved. I can relate to them all!
Good job! I think you have to be ugly to make it really authentic, though, and you're just too cute.
Nice work, Auddie! But again, when are you going to put up pictures of our yard-decorating escapades? Don't leave me hangin!
You make me laugh! The little foot thingy? Too funny. I'm so glad you married my nephew so you could be my niece! Oh, and great costume. How long did it take you to do your hair?
you're good! must be a natural. (seamstress, not scary snake-lady.)
You costume looks awesome! I haven't been brave enough to try and sew clothing yet. But you did great. Good job.
Richard...Muuwahahahah! You should look. You are too funny!
Carmen..I could never forget all the crazy things we did together. Especially when you put so much trust in me. We made each others life exciting.
Jana..I am glad someone can relate to my sewing experience. I hope it gets better.
Nicea..It took about 1 1/2 hours and I did it by myself. I had hairspray all over myself and the bathroom but my hair looked cool.
Sherry..Thanks, youre kind. Natural not really, I just took pictures far away so you couldnt see the flaws. hee hee
Melanie..Thanks. I kinda want to make a skirt now. I will have to wait until Santa can bring me a sewing machine cause I was using an antique.
Your costume turned out great! And I love the hair too! Looks like you guys had lots of fun. :-)
