So with all the news about the terrorists we captured and subsequently torchered after 9/11, I learned that there were interrogation methods that were both authorized and used. These include but are not limited to: sleep deprivation, stress positions, the use of military dogs, and sensory deprivation through the use of hoods.
Here's a method that was authorized but not used (gee I wonder why?): "... involved putting a detainee who had shown a fear of insects into a box filled with caterpillars." (Deseret News)
Upon further research into why this particular technique wasn't used I found this quote from former President Bush, "When we opened the box it was full of butterflies. Had we not wasted time with interrogation protocal we might have made it while they were still worms. In the end we took a large feather to his bare foot."
Other methods not used include sending detainee's with a fear of:
- heights to ropes course.
- germs to a public restroom.
- Mormons to Utah.
- flowers to Sweden.
- failure ... back to the Middle East. (I know, thats a low blow, I'll take the penalty)

Does this mean I shouldn't come to UT this week? Just kidding. Can we stay at your house Thursday night? Did we ask you that already?
I liked this post.
You can stay if you promise to leave all caterpillars at home.
